I had a good stay at The Barat Perhentian Beach Resort overall, though it came with a few drawbacks. The location is fantastic, being just a short walk to the best beach on Pulau Perhentian Besar, and the food options are decent. However, I did experience some issues with the air conditioning and had a little trouble with the service at times.

I had a wonderful stay at The Barat Perhentian Beach Resort, where the staff were generally friendly and eager to help. although I did encounter a rude waitress once. The snorkeling trips were very nice, especially the one to Turtle Point, and the meals were delicious, particularly the BBQ fish. However, the beach in front of the resort wasn't the best for swimming, requiring a short walk to nicer shores.
